St Andrew Parish Church
The original building of the St Andrew Parish Church was constructed near Waterloo Road. The current site was first established in the 1680s, but was destroyed by the 1692 earthquake. The foundation of the current church was laid that same year and the building completed in 1700. It was named after the apostle Andrew, the patron saint of Scotland. Until the disestablishment in 1870, the St Andrew Parish Church was the only Anglican Church in the parish. It was declared a national monument by the Jamaica National Heritage Trust on April 3, 2003.
