The world's fastest man, Usain St. Leo Bolt, was born in the quaint, rural district of Sherwood Content, near Falmouth, in Trelawny, on August 21, 1986. Bolt is a five-time World and five-time Olympic gold medalist. He is the world record and Olympic record holder in the 100 metres, the 200 metres and the 4×100 metres relay.

After the incident Bolt called for the IAAF to review the policy, but track and field's world governing body said it had no plans to change the rule before the 2012 Olympics in London.
